1977 Howards Cemetery Counting by Mary Edna Hightshue Schooler

In 1977 Mary Edna Hightshue Schooler took a census of the graves and burials in Howard Cemetery.  We are indebted to Mary for taking the time in 1977 to walk Howard and also record the burials in Howard that did not have stones.  This walking of Howard's I would trust more than anyone's because I personally knew Mary as she was my husband's aunt. The project will forever be grateful for her work in preserving Perry Townships past.  Her complete account will be posted on this site soon.  I have decided to scan the original and upload those documents to the blog.

Mary also has a compiling of the soldiers, that Mr. Homer Turpin honored each year for their military service.  It was taken directly from Mr. Turpin's list.
