Truman M Lumpkin

Truman M Lumpkin was the oldest son of Oscar Lumpkin and his wife Maude Tout.  He is also the grandson of George and Sarah Lumpkin. Truman was born 5 Jan 1895 and dies 26 Feb 1924.  His stone is white limestone it is the traditional military tablet type and inscribed is Indiana PVT. 47 Spruce SQ  With a cross at the top in a circle.  So at some point in was in the 47 Spruce Squadron. Research concludes that he must have been in World War I and served in the 47 Spruce Squadron and he was the rank Private.
