John T Carter son of Leonard(Lenard) Carter born 1855 in Indiana and passed away 16 Sep 1887. He married Mary J Keeney the 22 Jul 1877. Mary J. Keeney is born in Indiana in 1857 and passes 18 Jul 1888. Leonard occupation in the 1880 Census is that of a farmer. This is the only Census that the young couple is counted in, as both of them pass by 1888. They also have lost a son in 1885, his name was Lushous Carter and he passed 14 Aug 1885. His tombstone identifies his parents, and the inscription is on the same obelisk as his parents.
The inscription gives no birth date or age of Lushous, but he is not listed in the 1880 Census. So it is surmised that he was born between 1880 and 1885.
The shared stone is a grey obelisk.
