Was Aged 83 years- Father of J.W. Carter of this City Funeral Tuesday
Jerry Carter died at 10 a.m. Sunday at his home near Brownsburg, Hendricks county of old age and a complication of diseases. He was eighty threes years old. He had long been a resident of the vicinity where he died. He was a member of the Christian church at Fayette, having joined the church fifty years ago. He was a devoted churchman and lived a consistent christian life.
Mr. Carter leaves a wife and three children, James W., of this city; Mrs. Mary Lawler and John Carter of Hendricks county.
The funeral will be held at the residence at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Howard Cemetery east of Fayette
