Almira E. Crane is born in May 1870 in Indiana, and she passes passes in 1933. She was the daughter of James M. Crane and Elizabeth Cox. Until her marriage she is counted in her parents house hold. She marries Lucian Funkhouser 11 May 1890. Lucian born 1867 was the son of Joseph Funkhouser and Nancy King(More on the Funkhousers in another sketch)
The couple set up housekeeping in Brown Township, Hendricks, Indiana and are counted in the 1900 Census. Lucian is a farmer and age 32, Almira "Myra" is age 30, daughter Hazel G. is age 7, Sallie A., is age 5 and Mary E. is age 2.
The family is again counted in the 1910 Census living in the same township, with an addition of two boys Loyal age 9 and Harry age 6, to their growing family.
In the 1920 Census Lucian, Myra, Hazel G., Mary E., Loyal S., Harry K., Herschel Grant age 5, are counted in the household a children of the Funkhousers. Also in the household is Harold W. Herring the three year old son of Sallie A. Funkhouser and her husband Carl Herring. Sallie had passed in 1917 and is buried next to her daughter Margaret who passed in 1914.
In the 1930 Census the household consist of Lucian, Almira, Herschel Grant and the grandson Harold Herring. Lucian is still farming in 1930. This is the last Census both Lucian and Almira will be counted in as Lucian passes in 1936 and Almira passes in 1933, they share a tombstone in Howards Cemetery
